RDF Introduction
Residual Derived Fuel (RDF) which is also known by the names solid recovered fuel or specified recovered fuel (SRF), is a kind of residual fuel which is produced as a result of the shredding and dehydration of the MSW (municipal solid waste). It makes the use of the waste converter technology and can be treated with a variety of waste materials like the plastic and other biodegradable wastes. The RDF is a highly efficient form of fuel, which is a kind of bio-fuel and does not cause any kind of pollution. As these are produced from the waste materials, these also pose less burden on the Earth’s natural resources. One of the most effective techniques to reduce and treat the municipal solid waste (MSW) materials is by the use of the RDF shredders.
How are RDF Shredders Effective?
The use of the RDF shredders makes the waste materials valuable. These are treated with several kinds of waste items like the agricultural wastes, industrial wastes, paper, plastic, wooden waste, textiles waste items and many more. These are also cost effective and serve as a great alternative to the non-renewable sources of energy like the petroleum and the diesel substitutes.
